My Summer Natural Hair Regimen and Products!

Some people say my regimen is really difficult because I have a lot of steps and processes, but I think going through the normal steps to continue healthy natural hair. I have pictures which include the products I’m using this summer as well as may continue for the fall. I deep condition and co-wash once a week. I do a protein treatment every two weeks and a hot oil treatment once a month. Sounds like a lot? Okay I admit it, its a little much. But that’s what wash day is all about. I believe I have 3c, 4a, 4b type hair and the products I used are based on what works for my hair. I would recommend people with similar hair types to try them.

Wash Time!

I start off using Black soap to get all the dirt and buildup from my hair (shampoo twice). Once I rinse it out with lukewarm water and have squeaky clean hair, I separate my hair using butterfly clamps and apply generous amounts of Aussie Moist Conditioner (my faaavvvvv). Each section, I use my wide tooth comb and detangle. Once I’m finish detangling I rinse out the conditioner with cold water. I apply Lou Ana’s coconut oil to saturate the hair. After, I combine Aussie Moist 3 Minute Deeepp Treatment and Cantu’s Deep Treatment Masque for my deep conditioner. Once my hair is full of deep conditioner, I place a plastic shower cap on and use my hair dryer attachment to obtain heat for 15-45 minutes (depends on how bad my hair needs moisture). Once time is over, I rinse again with cold water.

Moisture and Style!

I use a t-shirt to dry my hair for about 5 minutes. Then I section my hair again with butterfly clamps. I use the L. (Leave-In).O. (Oil). C. (Cream or butter) method to moisture my hair in addition to other products to style. I spritz the Curlz Leave-In Moisturizer following coconut oil. Then, I use the Camille Rose Naturals Moisture Butter ( a quarter size for each section). To define my curls, I’ll use Miss Jessie’s Multicultural Curls and Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker.
