Hello Naturalistas!! I’ve been struggling with maintaining this school, interning, and work lifestyle and my hair will not be ignored! I’m not really the braiding kind of girl but I can twist my butt off, so I started looking up different protective styles I can add to my collection. So again, when I should’ve been studying for these finals coming up, I was on YouTube (I make those deadlines tho =)) and I got the idea to finger coil OR dread (whatever it looks like to you) my hair. It’s mid fall-winter session where I live and really don’t have time to do my hair everyday so I decided to do it. I think I did pretty well for my first time especially since everyone at work complimented me on how shiny they look. It took about two hours to install them.
Here are the results:
I kept these coils in for about six days and they were still shiny! Here are the list of products I used:
- Flaxseed Gel
- Lottabody Hair Milk
- Lottabody Mousse
- Coconut Oil
FYI: I did not use a comb to twist my hair nor did wrap my hair around my hair; I just twisted my hair my grabbing hair and twisting from the roots to the ends.
